The “Gladiator II” actor, who is set to celebrate 10 years of sobriety on his 70th birthday in December, told Esquire in a new interview, “I’ve done a lot of damage to the body. We’ll see. I’ve been clean.” “Things are opening up for me now — like being seventy. It’s real. And it’s OK. This is the last chapter — if I get another thirty, what do I want to do? My mother made it to ninety-seven. I’m doing the best I can.”

Alcohol: no substance on the planet is so familiar to us and so unbelievable varied in its effects. It is readily available, and despite its psychoactive, adverse health effects, hardly anyone calls it a drug. But how is it that we can turn a blind eye to the three million alcohol-related deaths that happen each year? The director Andreas Pichler visits several countries, searching for answers concerning what makes us drink, what alcohol does to us, and to what extent the powerful alcohol industry and its lobbyists influences politics and society. He also presents us with ways we can turn the tide. Without being self-righteous or overly-critical, the film will have a lasting effect on the drinking habits of all who watch it.

Hear firsthand from individuals struggling with opioid addiction and follow the cutting-edge work of doctors and scientists as they investigate why addiction is not a moral failing, but a chronic, treatable medical condition. Easy access to drugs like heroin, fentanyl, and even prescription medications like OxyContin has fueled an epidemic of addiction—the deadliest in U.S. history. Now, science is revealing how addiction affects the brain, and top experts are gathering evidence about how we should address our drug problem, from embracing evidence-based treatments, to rethinking public policies.
Millions of people are purchasing and using home DNA kits to determine their ancestry. Inside Edition enlisted the help of two sets triplets and a set of quadruplets to investigate the accuracy of the at-home tests. Their ancestry should be absolutely identical since they all came from the same egg. Unfortunately, the reveal confused and disappointed the sisters because of the varied results. The set of quadruplets were almost identical and did not have the variations seen in the triplets. According to some of the test results these ladies had different fathers. They now need a DNA test to find their fathers, I think.

I am never shocked to see this. These are private companies. The output is a computer algorithm programed by a programmer not a scientist. There have been hundreds of reports where people have found people, and this is good. If you want to talk real percentages of people. They are saying 20thousand Americans have taken these tests and of these 20thousand {last Year from 23&me} how many have been satisfied with the results? That separates the ignorant from those having knowledge. Hundreds have had success which means what? We know millions have taken these tests and of all these people "Thousands have been help we know this is true. And we know what else? Millions have not!!!! And that is the truth of it. Another issue can be health safety with ladies, some of these tests be careful of. You'll find all kinds of reports about health issues if you look. It is better to have clarity than walk in life a believer. Every single company runs the exact same algorithm. It matters not which company you go to. They each have the same exact prosses of doing this DNA testing. More and more ignorant people think this is something so magical and how they beleive the propaganda of this. Which companies have oversite? How is this being regulated? Who is responsible for the company being accurate? Are these privately owned companies? Not a matter of concern for the believe these are 100% to 93% accurate because that is what their web site says. What the believer sees and knows truth doesn't even matter.
Trying to find out about your ancestry? Consider this before you buy an at-home DNA testing kit.
Why does your ethnicity estimate on AncestryDNA or other companies change, when your DNA doesn't? Here's the truth about what those estimates are really telling you.
It will not play from WCF, and I ask you to please please watch this.
This was just released 2024. You must understand why this can be so wrong and will continue to change. It is getting better, and people have been helped. We have big issues however, and computing and our current technology is not there yet, and no one is really talking about this. My studies show 100% we need fast systems. One reason the test can be so off is the amount of time the system is running the algorithm. So, triplets go in and first the computer runs for 3 weeks another 5 weeks another 2 weeks. The results are going to be so different each time it will be shocking. At today's technology just to have the basic more accurate you would have to wait months for your results. You do not, and this is why these are always inaccurate to some degree. You do not have clarity if you do not understand a algorithm and how it works.
Stupidity is something the population is into. Information on reality is something they are not into. When we can place quantum computers in every science office for DNA testing then and only then are you going to see 93 to 100 percent acracy. Currently you have a 50/50 chance of every being correct. DNA testing for finding out if your kid is from your wife. This has been going on since the 1970's. We have been accurate on this for a while.
As far as finding your mother or father or even siblings is totally dependent on the test. For instance,
The first method of calculating percentages (displayed by 23andMe) expresses the aggregate length of the shared segments (i.e. the aggregate length of the half-identical regions, where there is one shared segment, plus twice the aggregate length of the fully identical regions, where there are two shared segments, one paternal and one maternal) as a percentage of the aggregate length of the paternal and maternal autosomes. Using this method, full siblings (excluding identical twins), who are expected to be half-identical on 50% of their autosomal DNA and fully identical on a further 25% of their autosomal DNA, will on average appear to have 50% shared.
The second method of calculating percentages (to which those relying on FTDNA or GEDmatch must resort) expresses the aggregate length of the half-identical (or better) regions as a percentage of the aggregate length of both sets of autosomes (paternal and maternal). The maximum value that the numerator in this percentage can take is the length of one set of autosomes (say the paternal); the denominator if the length of two sets of autosomes (maternal plus paternal). Thus, the percentages calculated by this method cannot exceed 50%, which is the value that it takes for a parent/child comparison (half-identical at all locations) or a comparison between identical twins (fully identical at all locations). Using Method II, full siblings (other than identical twins) will on average appear to have only 37.5% shared. Whenever there are fully identical regions, the calculated percentages will be smaller than for Method I as half-identical and fully identical regions cannot be distinguished from the available data and must be given equal weight in the calculation.
What does this all mean? Bottom line is it may work for you, or it may not. That is the truth of DNA testing at this time. The other issue people do not understand are actual records or accounts of these people or so-called relatives. If there are no clear records of them, they just cannot be found. A dead person you can take their DNA and from this you should find someone that is in the records that could be this person's daughter or son. It isn't some kind of magic that people think it is. I speak way too much to too many people who are just foolish, and this is all due to them never studying anything. Listening to propaganda and believing propaganda your entire life doesn't make you smart.
Many of us will experience some kind of trauma during our lifetime. Sometimes, we escape with no long-term effects. But for millions of people, those experiences linger, causing symptoms like flashbacks, nightmares, and negative thoughts that interfere with everyday life. Joelle Rabow Maletis details the science behind post-traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD.
