This database contains records of every person shot by an on-duty police officers (*off duty is sadly not listed. As hundreds more are killed by off duty police as well) since Jan. 1, 2015, as well as the agencies involved in each event. It is updated regularly as fatal shootings are reported and as facts emerge about individual cases. Nearly 10,000 people are killed by police since 2015. less than 10 years making an average of over 1000 people dead each year due to police. 250 have been women and just under this have been children who are not counted due to them being minors and cannot be recorded by some states, I was told. I do not know why. I do not think minors are being accounted for by this data. With all the data that is missing this mean s these numbers are so much higher. Do you understand the implications to this? Many of you are angry this is posted here. The facts are the facts. Study the world you live in. Then again, ignorance is bliss. To kill someone when you do not feel your life is being threatened or another, it is murder. I have body armor on, and I carry a lethal gun a non-lethal taser a shot gun with rubber bullets and bean bags also non-lethal mace and you have a pipe. I chose to kill you. I have so many options and I am not fearing for my life, but I chose to kill and that is all I do as a cop faced by anything. Legel and good for the population, isn't it? Today you are dead whoever you are. Or the other guy has a gun but is holding a baby as a shield and the cop fires and kills the guy with gun, only. This time. Public safety? No matter some are justly done while most are unjust when you have a choice not to kill someone.
*The information needs to be corrected for off duty police killing people. These numbers are not recorded but painstakingly can be found locally. Hundreds of people are killed or murdered by police each year and we are not keeping track of this data. This to me is frightening as I know personally what a cop is capable of especially off duty.
Question: What if you live in an area where there are more people killed by cops than homicides? I found them right here in America. I have seen data where homicide was 12 people in a county and police killings were 16. Total dead with police activity 28 people dead. Some of the data you really have to ask why? Why is right. Study is clarity and this is why this is here.

8-Year-Old on Bike Hit By Florida Police Vehicle
A Florida cop hit an 8-year-old child on a bike with his patrol car. The Sarasota Police Department released body camera footage of the incident as well as a statement from their police chief. Emotions ran high as neighbors and family members of the little boy rushed to the scene of the accident. The child has had surgery and is still in the hospital, according to police. The officer who was driving the car has been placed on administrative duty while Florida Highway Patrol investigates.
